All great things have humble beginnings

All great things have humble beginnings

Our home is registered with OFSTED as a children’s home.

  • Our SoP caters for social, emotional, behavioural and associated complex difficulties.
  • We use the PACE Therapeutic way of parenting which helps support and form secure attachments with our young people who may have experienced difficulties in early life. We use contextual safeguarding and relational safeguarding in unison to create a holistic, robust safeguarding plan for young people at risk of exploitation.
  • We provide a therapeutic home which is supported by our in-house child counsellors who help enhance the mental health, social and emotional wellbeing of our young people.

We offer a mixed gender home which caters for male, female, and non-binary young people, from the ages of 11 to 17. It is a specialist home that provides a service to support young people who experience emotional and behavioural difficulties, including trauma, mental health difficulties, complex behaviours, attachment difficulties, suffering with low self-esteem or lack of confidence and associated conditions.

Our staff provide support for young people using a therapeutic approach of parenting, and the dyadic developmental psychotherapy (DDP) principle which underpins the PACE model. This model ensures therapeutic practice within our home; providing a safe environment mentally and emotionally to improve the outcomes for the young people.
